Thirty nine students graduated from the ‘Pathway Connect’, a worldwide program for the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.

The program is being sponsored by the Church aiming to promote further education.

The Self-Reliance Manager of the church in Tonga, Verna Tukuafu says, this is a great opportunity for church members.

“Education is important because we believe that education is merely not just a good idea but a commandment so whenever there is a commandment, there is a blessing that follows. It is important not only for those that actually go through it to receive degrees so that they can get better jobs to provide for their family but also enlightens them. The church has given us this opportunity and it’s been a blessing for us here in Tonga,” Tukuafu said.

This is the second group that has graduated from this program which was started in the Kingdom in 2016.

A similar graduation program will be held in ‘Eua at the end of this month.
