SDA Church donates assistance to elderly and people living with disability following cyclone Gita.

People living with disabilities, elderly and those who rely on carers, need special assistance especially at this time, recovering from a natural disaster.
The Seventh Day Adventist Church, are today donating food parcels to assist with the care of people living with disabilities, the elderly, and those relying on carers.
The president of the church here in Tonga – Pastor Saia Vaea Vea – says the donation will be delivered to almost 600 people here in Tongatapu and ‘Eua.
The donation is made possible through the church’s agency – ADRA – Adventists Disaster Relief Agency. The Regional Emergency Coordinator for the South Pacific – Michael Peach – says this donation would last for about 1 – 2 weeks
Peach says they will be distributing the aid according to a list of individuals provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs who they have registered as in most critical need of these food parcels.
The donations will be delivered today and tomorrow on Tongatapu and on Thursday they will continue to ‘Eua.
