Government schools pulling out from the Intercollegiate sports Competition

The Ministry of Education and Training has confirmed that all government schools won’t be participating this year’s intercollegiate sports competition.

This was confirmed by Soane Selui in an interview with Radio Tonga News before while he was acting Deputy CEO of the Ministry.

He said this is the only change to schools annual programs in the aftermath of Cyclone Gita.

Meanwhile Rev. Tungua Tu’akoi the chairman of the Intercollege sports committee said, the committee is continuing with their preparation for the competition to be held on the last week of July at the Teufaiva park.

Radio Tonga News understands, the intercollegiate sports is an annual program for schools where the committee picks those to represent the country in international sports competitions.
