Tu’ivakano’s trial adjourned for next month
Radio & TV Tonga, Nuku’alofa, 23/04/2018
Lord Tu’ivakano’s trial has again been adjourned to next month May, 28.
Tu’ivakano was charged and alleged for making a false statement to obtain a passport, money laundering and other charges.
The delayed was approved after Tu’ivakano’s Legal Counsel Clive Edwards Sr. requested for the adjournment, to give him enough time to go through the “Brief of Evidence” provided by the Crown Prosecutor.
The “Brief of Evidence” was presented at the Magistrate Court in Fasimoeafi this morning and it’s a bit bulky.
Lord Tu’ivakanoo appeared before Principal Magistrate Salesi Mafi.
