Troops from His Majesty’s Armed Forces to join a military training in New Caledonia

Troops from His Majesty’s Armed Forces will be joining the Croix du Sud or “Southern Cross exercise”, a regional military training which will be held this month in New Caledonia.
The military training is aim to extend the participants’ knowledge and skills to assist them in times of any natural disaster.
Commander Sione Ulakai from His Majesty’s Armed Forces says, this military training is held in every two years and it’s funded by the French Government.
This training program is in partnership with New Zealand and Australia.
It will be hosted by the French Armed Forces, New Caledonia as part of French regional engagements in the South West Pacific region.
Tonga has been part of this military training since 1992 which is normally held in New Caledonia and Papeete in Tahiti.
Other participating countries in the Pacific include Fiji, Papua New Guinea, and Vanuatu.
