Construction work towards Takuilau College’s TVET classrooms started this morning

The ground breaking ceremony of Takuilau Collge’s TVET classrooms completed this morning.
Under the project, four classrooms will be constructed with the estimated cost of more than 80 thousand USD or more than 100 thousand pa’anga.
The project is funded by the Government of Japan’s GGP program.
The Ambassador of Japan H.E Tetsuya Ishii in his remarks during the program said, he hopes the four new classrooms will enable current and future students of Takuilau College and the Hahake District to have a high quality, technical and vocational training.
He also hopes that this will strengthen young Tongan people’s unique talents, which will open future opportunities for them to be able to assist their families and communities.
The groundbreaking ceremony this morning follows the formal agreement that was completed and signed in March this year.
Attending the ceremony this morning were Hon Genaro Kalaniuvalu Fotofili, People representative of Tongatapu Constituency10 to Parliament Dr Pohiva Tui’onetoa, church leaders of the Catholic Church, principal, staff and students of Takuilau College.
