The one week training on building resilience in the communities completed this afternoon with a certificate presentation.

The training discussed the implementation plans on building resilience in the communities.

The Community Development Supervisor from the Habitat for Humanity Fiji – Tasianna Lulu says, the training is significant for the country.

“Making sure that the community is aware of the hazards in their community and how to move forward using their resources they have available and some small input from the government as well,” Lulu said.

She adds there’s hope the Participatory Approach for Safe Shelter Awareness – PASSA training will be carried out in the communities in their own context.

The training was hosted by the Habitat for Humanity, Caritas Tonga, Government of Tonga and the International Federation of Red Cross.
