Radio & TV Tonga, Nuku’alofa ,13/06/2018

The Caritas Tonga in partnership with Habitat for Humanity NZ yesterday began their repair works to 300 houses damaged from Cyclone Gita.

This was after the Bishop of the Catholic Church Diocese of Tonga and Niue – His Eminence Cardinal Mafi, during a mass celebration yesterday urged the workers to speed up their work to assist victims of Cyclone Gita.

One of the building leaders, Sailosi Hefa says the works will be carried out to houses in Patangata and other villages in Tongatapu.

About 15 houses will be fixed this week.

The project is expected to be completed by September.
