He says it was widely known that the list at National Emergency Management Office NEMO was totally different from the list at the Statistic Department.
Meanwhile, the Hon Minister of Finance Pohiva Tu’I’onetoa clarifies how this financial assistance works.
He adds, works are underway to collect names of those who were not on the list and to include them.
The Minister says in a week or two they will be able to solve the problem.

The financial assistance allocated for the cheques distribution is $4.8 million.
Houses that were completely destroyed will receive $3000 pa’anga, houses with major damaged will be receiving $1500 pa’anga and houses with minor and minimal damaged will receive $500 pa’anga.
