Domestic flights to ‘Eua to resume operation on Monday

Real Tonga’s Domestic flights to the island of ‘Eua will resume next Monday.
The CEO- Tevita Palu says a team will be sent to ‘Eua today to verify the airport’s condition and prepare for next Monday’s operation.
Real Tonga halted its operations for two months due to safety concerns surrounding the height of trees located to the Southern side of Kaufana Airport.
Earlier this week, the CEO of Tonga Airports Limited – Viliami Ma’ake said that a team has been sent to ‘Eua to resolve the issue for the airport to resume its duties.
Work on trimming these trees started, which started on Tuesday, have been completed, and the airport is expected to return to normal operation next week.
Meanwhile, Real Tonga is hiring a 50 seat passenger aircraft from New Zealand to cater for the domestic flights of the people.
This aircraft will be operating for Tongatapu, Vava’u and Ha’apai during eventful time of the year.
