Delegation from Norway is currently in Nuku’alofa

A high level delegation from the government of Norway are currently in Nukualofa to demonstrate and present what young Pacific Islanders, living in the urban settings are doing to change their attitudes from what is deemed as climate vulnerability to climate resilience.

The delegation is led by the deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs – H.E Ms. Marianne Hage, Deputy Director from the East Asia and Oceania section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other.

They visited the youth group of the Anglican church of Fasi moe Afi where H.E Mariane Hage praised their effort in prioritizing this worldwide issue.

The youth of the Anglican Church of Fasi moe Afi collaborated with the University of the South Pacific’s Centre for Sustainable Development to be trained on a community Integrated Vulnerability Assessment Toolkit.

The delegation also visited the newly established Centre for climate change at Saint Andrews.
