The Friendly Island Shipping Agency – FISA has temporarily suspended the operation of their Catamaran, the MV. Tongiaki  due to technical faults.

CEO of FISA – Mosese Fakatou says they are waiting for the engine part to arrive from New Zealand and they are hoping to fix the problem next week.

He adds the unexpected technical fault has hindered their daily services to their customers especially transporting people to Ha’apai for the current celebration events.

The MV Tongiaki was launched early in January by His Majesty at the Queen Salote Wharf.

The $8.3 million pa’anga catamaran can carry up to 200 passengers.
