Royal Chaplain convey public’s birthday greetings to His Majesty King Tupou VI on his Royal 57th Birthday

The Royal Chaplain, Rev. Dr. ‘Ahio yesterday conveyed the Nation’s birthday greetings to His Majesty King Tupou VI on his 57th Birthday.

It was conveyed during the thanksgiving prayer conducted at the Royal Palace in Nuku’alofa.

His Majesty’s Royal Birthday was marked with a series of Royal Events which started with the Honorary Military Parade at the Pangai Lahi grounds.

Their Majesties King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau’u yesterday graciously present at the Royal Event.

His Majesty King Tupou VI who’s also the Commander in Chief of his Armed Forces conducts the inspection of the parade and also concluded by the General Salute.

Also at the ceremony was the Colonel in Chief of His Majesty’s Armed Forces, Crown Prince Tupouto’a ‘Ulukālala, members of the Royal Family and hundreds of spectators.

It then proceeded to several program and concluded with the Royal Luncheon at the frontage of the Fangatapu to the northern side of the Royal Palace in Nuku’alofa.

During the Royal Luncheon – Lord Tu’i’afitu conveyed the greetings and many best wishes to His Majesty. It then followed the Royal Toast conducted by His Serene Highness Prince Tu’ipelehake.

Tongan traditional dances were performed by the residents of His Majesty’s estates.
