GPS Tokomololo won the Soroban Competition for Western district

Tokomololo Government Primary School won the Soroban Competition for the Western District in 2018. Pea Government Primary School came second and Kahoua was in the third place.

More than 160 students participated in the Soroban competition in the western district.

In the written competition for class three Siniva Vakalahi from Tokomololo won the first prize, Siosifa ‘Ahomana from Houma won the first prize for class four and Tupouseini ‘Ungo’unga from Tokomololo walked away with the first prize for class five.

In the oral competition Poasi Hungalu from Pea won the first prize, Fotu Fangufangu from Kahoua won the first prize for class four and Viliami Tei from Hofoa walked away with the first prize.

In the flash competition, Fane Toki won the first prize for class three, Leotisia Tausinga won the first prize for class 4 and Tupou Seini Ungounga won the first prize for class 5.

For teachers, Kolianita ‘Ungo’unga from Tokomololo won the first prize, Second prize goes to Veisinia Faletau again from Tokomololo and Paea Vailea from Kahoua came third.

The District Soroban Competition for 2018 will be concluded with the Competition for Ha’apai Islands on the first week of September.

Top students from the District Soroban are preparing for the National competition next March.
