Loving Heart of Good Samaritan is hoping to expand their services in the Kingdom but financial issue is their main challenge.

Loving Heart of Good Samaritan is an organization that provided assistance free of charge for elderlies and people living with disabilities in the country.

The Director of the Loving heart of the Good Samaritan, Tonga Soane, says at the moment they’re looking after six elderlies and people living with disabilities at the centre in ‘Anana.

The also look after 68 elderlies and people living with disabilities in different villages in Tongatapu.

He adds they are looking forward to expand their services in the Kingdom but they are struggling financially.

Soane says the six people that are kept at the centre are those with special needs so they are keeping them there to ensure that there is food for them to eat every day.

He says they are only doing this work with hope to help elderlies and people living with disabilities in Tongatapu.

The director says the Ministry of Internal Affairs sometime provide assistance including paying for the rent of the house that they are using for about six to eight months in a year.

The Loving heart of the Good Samaritan also raised funds by selling buns for their operation.

In the past they used to distribute food items for elderlies and people living with disabilities but this year they send out volunteers to assist them by washing their clothes among other work.

The Loving heart of Good Samaritan consists of 10 volunteers and they started this work in 2012.

In 2014, they rented a house in Fanga ‘o Pilolevu to provide assistance for elderlies and people living with disabilities.

In 2015, they relocated to ‘Anana and they are still at the same place up until now.
