LDS Church donates chairs and desks to Saint Andrew College

Students of St Andrew College were delighted this morning with the assistance from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints.
The assistance includes chairs, desks and other school materials which were shipped from New Zealand through the humanitarian aid of the church in Tonga.
The leader of the church in the Kolomotu’a and Kolofo’ou area – President Ian Tu’ihalangingie says, they are hoping that the assistance will provide a safer learning environment for students.
He also hopes that the students will take good care of the furniture provided.
Meanwhile, the Vice Principal of the school – Paku Tausinga says, they are delighted with the assistance because it proves that the church is willing to provide assistance to anyone who needed help.
Similar assistance was donated to the Government Primary School of Ma’ufanga.
The head of the church’s welfare and humanitarian aid in Tonga – Silongo Samani says due to the damage sustained to GPS Navutoka, LDS Church in Navutoka has been made available for them to use.
