The Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints continues its campaign on the importance for the people to be prepared for any natural disaster instead of relying on assistance.
That was the purpose of a program conducted this morning by members of the church from the Liahona Stake to the Ma’a Fafine moe famili Centre.
The program aimed to educate the members on the importance of being prepared and the usage of the 72 hour kit – which is a survival kit designed to assist families while seeking refuge at an evacuation centre.
During this morning’s program – members of the church showcased kits that needed to be with any family during the evacuation process.
Radio and Television Tonga News understands – the church is conducting similar programs to other churches, Non Government organizations, communities and some schools.
