GPS Lapaha received assistance from LDS church

The Welfare and Humanitarian Department of the LDS Church in Tonga continues assisting schools in Tonga.

Yesterday they presented more than 20 desks and chairs to the GPS of Lapaha.

Speaking to Radio and Television Tonga News, the Head of the Welfare and Humanitarian Department Silongo Samani says, this is the third time they have assisted the school this year.

The first time they donated assistance to the school was after cyclone Gita.

Meanwhile the principal of the school – Naisipa Ngungutau thanked the Church for their generous assistance. Ngungutau said, with all the assistance provided by the Church, they have fully equipped four classrooms and the staff room, with chairs, desks among others.

About 400 students are currently studying at GPS Lapaha.
