HRH Pilolevu Tuita launches Pinktober campaign

HRH Princess Salote Mafile’o Pilolevu Tuita, the Patron of the Tonga Breast Cancer Society this morning launched, Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign.
Pinktober is celebrated by women across the world carry out campaign awareness programs regarding breast cancer.
The theme for this year’s program is – Early Detection Saves Lives.
Dr Amelia Afuha’amango Tuipulotu from the Ministry of Health elaborates on the theme.
The age group of 50-69 is the age group most likely to get breast cancer BUT the Ministry of Health has urged women in their 40’s to get a mammogram as soon as possible because Early Detection Saves Lives.
Attending this morning’s program was NZ’s High Commissioner to Tonga – H.E Tiffany Babington, women from various government organizations and many invited guests.
