GPS Popua receive assistance from LDS Church

The Government Primary School of Popua yesterday received assistance from the Humanitarian and Welfare Aid of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The assistance included desks, chairs and school materials.
One of the stake presidents in the Ma’ufanga area – President Lafitani Taumalolo says the Church continues to assist schools that are in need of assistance.
Meanwhile, the Principal of Popua GPS – Fifita Kalokalo expressed how happy they were with the assistance they have received from the Church.
Last week Friday, the form 3 students of Havelu Middle School had helped paint the school classrooms and on Saturday, members of the church helped clean up also doing some repair to the school’s buildings.
Part of the program was a presentation of gifts from the students to members of the church who were present at the program showing their appreciation for the assistance received.
Attending yesterday’s program was the Deputy Director of the Ministry of Education – Isikeli Oko, LDS bishops in the Nuku’alofa area, and many invited guests.
