Hundreds celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Tae Kami Foundation

Hundreds of people joined in the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Tae Kami Foundation and Walk On, Walk Strong – WOWS over the weekend.
On Friday evening, Tofiga Fepulea’i, one half of the Laughing Samoans duo, performed a show at the Queen Salote Memorial Hall, which was also attended by the contestants of the Miss Pacific Island 2018.
The Walk On, Walk Strong – WOWS Walk and Shave It or Save It fundraiser took place on Saturday morning, with proceeds from this and Tofiga’s show, going to help the Tae Kami Foundation continue providing assistance to children battling cancer, and their families.
The programs to mark the 10th anniversary came to an end on Sunday with a prayer service led by the President of the Free Wesleyan Church – Rev. Dr. ‘Ahio, held at Tupou College.
Sina Kami from the foundation, expressed their appreciation of the successful celebrations which was made possible through the donation of partners and sponsors and all supporters who turned out to join the celebrations. Kami says with this year’s success, providing equipment and gifts to the Children’s Ward at Vaiola Hospital, raising funds for the continued operations of the foundations, and raising awareness of the important work they do, they are looking forward to the success of future projects.
The Tae Kami foundation has assisted many children with cancer, and their families, not only in Tonga, but in Fiji as well.
