Public reminded to be vigilant during the cyclone season

The Acting Director of NEMO is urging the public not to be complacent as Tonga is still in its cyclone season.
Mafua Maka says they are working with the related stakeholders on community programs to remind the public of ways to better prepare for before, during and after a disaster strikes and most importantly reminding the public the significance of getting the latest weather update from Tonga’s Met office at all times.
With more rain expected in the days to come, Maka is urging the public to collect and save as much water as possible and to boil drinkng water to ensure it is safe for consumption.
