The former deputy chairman of Tonga’s National Rugby league Board – Matani Nifofa highlighted the impacts on the local and international rugby league competitions following the Court Order to dissolve its Board of Directors.
Nifofa said they have witnessed many problems following the dissolve of the Board of Directors.
It includes Tonga’s participation at the South Pacific Games in August because the deadline for the team list will be on the 30th of this month.
Mate Ma’a Tonga’s four tests scheduled for June against the Kiwis, England, Samoa and the Kangaroos is most likely to be affected as well because there’s currently no Board of Directors to approve the paper work.
Hon Justice Niu ruled on the 12th on November to dissolve the Tonga National Rugby League Board after chairman and vice chairman were found guilty of misconduct.
The previous board members had filed an appeal on the ruling.
