Minister of Justice appears at Magistrate Court

The Minister of Justice this morning appeared at the magistrate court – after he was charged and alleged with wrongful interference with the course of justice and using threatening language to police officers in a dispute over an alleged stolen cow.
Vuna Fa’otusia’s legal counsel – Tomasi Fakahua requested Chief Magistrate Salesi Mafi to defer the case for next week so they can prepare their respond to the charges made.
The accused will appear in court next week.
Also in this morning’s sessions – a case against the Minister of Trade and Economic Development was called.
Hon. Dr. Tu’i Uata together with his brother – ‘Etuate Uata were both charged with neglect to obey with any direction given by the port master
However, the case was adjourned for the 15th of this month.
