Most of the attendants at the public consultation in Longomapu, Vava’u last Friday supported the six bills proposed by the Government.
The town officer of Longomapu, ‘Ifalemi Palanite says most of the people in attendance said they’ve witnessed the significant work led by the current Government and therefore supports them as it aims towards the development of the country.
Palanite adds with clarification on the bills by the Acting Attorney General, very few people were against it.
Some of the supporters of the Government were disappointed on the first three nights of the consultation saying the information released to the audience was biased.
The Acting Attorney General ‘Aminiasi Kefu was then called to attend the public consultation in Longomapu last Friday to elaborate more on the proposed bills and to also clarify on the issues raised from the attendants.
The public consultation continues to the island group of Ha’apai this week, but there’s concern from the public as to why the consultation is held in ‘Uiha and not Kauvai District as there are more people there.
