Lakalakaimonu commissioned by His Majesty

His Majesty – King Tupou VI commissioned the Common Utility Building Complex – Lakalakaimonuu this morning at Matatoa.
Also gracing the even was HER Majesty Queen Nanasipau’u.
During the program – the Deputy Prime Minister – Semisi Sika spoke on the significance of this name of the newly constructed building Lakalakaimonuu and the operations that will be carried from it.
“I wish to acknowledge the active and continuing support of His Majesty not only for which the ground this complex is built upon but the name the complex has been blessed with which captures the Common Utilities vision, mission, values and building – ‘a more sustainable and resilient and social corporate responsibility in the services we offer”
Sika also elaborated on the benefits of the cooperation of the common utilities board under the Ministry of Public Enterprises.
“Sharing the know-how and problems among Utilities to enable the improvement of the quality of services provided. Most importantly, bring the Utilities team together as one so that every member treats the business as if it were their own and in doing so, ultimately the people would benefit from the rewards.”
The construction work for Lakalakaimonuu was carried out in about two years following the damages from TC Gita last year.
The construction project was worth 9.1million pa’anga.
