Ha’apai 13 MP reports to delivering reply to Royal Address

People’s representative of Ha’apai 13 who’s also the chairman of the Whole House Committee Veivosa Taka reported to the House this morning the outcome of their deliverance of the reply from the Legislative Assembly to His Majesty.
Ha’apai MP 13 reported His Majesty asked about the Prime Minister and he was informed that he’s currently abroad.
Other issues raised from His Majesty reported by Taka was the MPs’ spiritual lives and the significance of the word of God and also on Tonga’s vulnerability to natural disasters from climate change.
Following the report, Deliberations continued to the budget estimate 2019/2020 and Tt3 MP Siaosi Sovaleni says the estimate should be reviewed by the Public Accounts Committee before MPs could discuss the issue and CEOs from the related government ministries are needed for clarifications.
However, Finance Minister Hon. Dr Pohiva Tu’i’onetoa says they’ve completed the budget estimate and it is now up to the MPs to vote on it and the House should now continue with its other duties.
During this morning’s deliberations, other issues were raised including Tonga’s team to the Pacific Games before the Speaker ruled for deliberations to be adjourned until 2pm in the afternoon.
