For the third time in a row, the Miss Heilala pageant has for the first time recorded a candidate who has been competing for the Miss Heilala title since 2017.
This was after a contestant from the Ministry of Tourism is again running this year as Miss Cruise Ship who first appeared as Miss Sustainable Tourism in 2017 and Miss Whale Watching last year.
However, Tafolosa Bloomfield from the Heilala Pageant committee says, despite all these, they are happy the contestant is passionate and confident enough to compete again this year as it promotes tourism awareness throughout the pageant.
She also says there are only two conditions a contestant won’t be eligible to compete including if she’s older than 26 years of age and if she has won the competition.
Meanwhile, the 25 contestants made their first public appearance this evening at an orientation program at the Fa’onelua Convention Center.
