Slight decrease in the number of patients admitted to Vaiola with the flu

Vaiola Hospital has recorded a slight decrease in the number of patients admitted to the hospital with the symptoms of flu influenza or commonly known as cold.
Medical Superintendent of Vaiola Dr Lisiate ‘Ulufonua says, while there’s a decrease in the flu outbreak, they’ve recorded many children suffering from diarrhea also facing breathing difficulties and others with pneumonia.
Dr ‘Ulufonua is therefore urging parents to closely monitor their children during the flu influenza outbreak and to also practice hygienic lifestyle at home and at school to prevent contracting with the viral infection.
He also urges people to consume as much water as possible to remain hydrate, rest well at home, eat healthy meals and to visit their nearest clinic or hospital.
The flu outbreak is common during this time of the year due to the changes in the seasons.
Just last month close to five thousand people were seeking medical help from Vaiola hospital with over 70 percent recorded to have the symptoms of the flu influenza.
