GPS Mu’a won the soroban competition primary schools in the eastern district

GPS Mu’a won the soroban competition for 22 primary schools in the eastern district yesterday. The first runner up was GPS Lapaha while GPS Talafo’ou claimed the 3rd spot. The competition was held at the Vakaua Hall of Beulah College where classes 3, 4 and 5 students competed in 3 categories, namely the oral, written and flash.

In the written competition, Melisa ‘Amone of GPS Mu’a won first place for class 5, Laiseni Latu of GPS Talafo’ou won class 4’s written category while Sililo Lanumata from GPS Lapaha claim first place in class 3’s written competition.

In the flash Category, 1st place for class 5 went to ‘Ofa Finau from GPS Ha’amonga , class 4 went to Natasha Kaho from GPS Hoi, and Genette Ponitini from GPS Lapaha won class 3’s flash competition.

Lastly the oral competition, Sisimaile Tu’avao from GPS Lapaha claimed first place for class 3’s oral competition, Lisia Tupou from GPS Kolonga won class 4’s competition and ‘Ofa Finau from GPS Ha’amonga took home the 1st prize for class 5’s oral competition.
