The Former Deputy PM – Semisi Sika this afternoon confirmed to Radio and Television Tonga News that he is not bothered at all about the serious allegations made by ‘Etuate Lavulavu against him – during a phone conversation that was recorded.
In the audio recording obtained by the News, Lavulavu told the unknown party over the phone that Semisi Sika announced Saia Piukala as the Deputy Prime Minister which led to dissatisfactions over some members. Other personal allegations against Sika were made by Lavulavu on the audio recording.
However, this afternoon Semisi Sika said, that all allegations made were false, and he’s not bothered. He said, this is not the first time for such allegations to be made against him. Sika added this is politics, this is a game and this is how it works, when there’s no solid evidence of corruption or misspending of money against that politician then the other party will take it personal, make up stories, serious allegations with the purpose to ruin that person.
Sika said he’s not going to sue Lavulavu over this allegation because he has never sued anyone since he entered parliament.
Several attempts by Radio and Television Tonga News has been made to Lavulavu for a comment on the issue – but to no avail, but Lavulavu was reported and by Kaniva News saying he doesn’t remember making such allegations against Semisi Sika.
