The Tonga Broadcasting Commission General Manager – Solomone Finau this afternoon received a letter of complaint from former MP ‘Etuate Lavulavu – stating his dissatisfaction with a news report broadcast by Radio & Television Tonga News last week.
Lavulavu’s complaint is concerned with an audio recording of himself that Radio & Television Tonga News reported on.
He claims in the complain that the news was an act of misconduct, corruption, fraud, and unlawful, all of which the TBC Station manager – Setita Tui’onetoa denies, saying that the news was clear of breaking any laws of the government of Tonga and the news did not breach any of TBC’s policies and regulations.
Radio & Television Tonga News contacted Lavulavu to clarify on the laws he claims the news was in breach of, however he was unable to make a comment.
In his complaint to the General Manager, Lavulavu gave two days for a response before he would file an official complaint to the court.
