Finetu’ui Moala appointed as the Honorary Consul of the French Republic to Tonga

Finetu’ui Ma’ake Moala has been appointed as the Honorary Consul of the French Republic to Tonga. His appointment was officiated with the presentation of the Letter of Exequatur by the Prime Minister, Hon. Pohiva Tu’ionetoa on Friday, 8th November at the office of the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister presented the Letter of Exequatur on behalf of His Majesty’s Government granting the authority for Moala to exercise and enhance the bilateral relations in areas of mutual interest between the French Republic and His Majesty’s Government.
Moala is a Tongan citizen; educated in Vanuatu and France. He is fluent in French, English, Tongan and Bislama. Moala is currently the Project Support Team contract manager for the Tonga Climate Resilient Transport Project, implemented by the Ministry of Infrastructure. Moala is the son of Pita and Ngataialupe Moala of Kolomotu’a.
