People of Niuatoputapu gears up to welcome their Majesties tomorrow

The People of Niuatoputapu are gearing up with preparations to welcome their Majesties, King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau’u tomorrow morning.

Information from Radio Tonga’s Stringer on the Island, Louina Pongi says the locals are ready with their finest materials to welcome their Majesties and all the visitors.

King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau’u are expected to arrive tomorrow morning and will be residing at the Royal Palace, Matangi Mālie.

Part of the programs organized for tomorrow is a thanks giving prayer to be led by the FWC Church Minister, followed by the traditional presentation of the ‘hā‘unga’.

Lord Tangipā will lead the presentation and the Minister of Internal Affairs – Hon. Fe’ao Vakatā who’s the MP for the two Niuas.

After the presentation of the ‘hā‘unga’, His Majesty King Tupou VI will officially open the show in Niuatoputapu.

The Royal Agricultural show this year will be broadcast live on Radio Tonga and will be recorded to broadcast on Television Tonga.
