Pass rate for Form 6 national exams drop in comparison to 2018 pass rate

The number of students who passed the 2019 Tonga Form Six Certificate Exams dropped significantly in comparison with the results of the 2018 exams.
Tonga High School was the best performing school with 61% of their Form 6 students passing the TFSC exam.
Tailulu College in Vava’u was the most improved school with a 20% improvement from the results in 2018 with 56% of their students passing the exam in 2019.
Sixth form students from 23 schools in Tonga sat the exam with 12 schools in Tongatapu and 11 from the outer-islands.
The Ministry of Education & Training reports that 2019 had the highest number of enrollments in this qualification which a total of 1377 candidates registered while there was a total of 1248 candidates in 2018.
The enrollments showed that the school with the most candidates in the TFSC was Liahona High School with 192 candidates.
The results were released yesterday to each school and was available for students to pick up from their respective schools.
