Ban during measles outbreak lifted

The ban on large gatherings in Tonga due to the measles outbreak has been lifted. This was confirmed by Dr. ‘Ofa Tukia this afternoon.
In a televised program this afternoon, ‘Ofa Tukia from the Ministry of Health says, the reason is so that it will not affect schools preparation for the academic year 2020.
Not only that, but there have been a constant decrease in the number of new patients at Vaiola Hospital from the outbreak.
This year, the emphasis of vaccination program from measles will be on the age group 1 to 9 years old.
