FWC School Teachers encouraged to be bold in their work

The Secretary of the Free Wesleyan Church of Tonga encouraged teachers and staff of the Free Wesleyan Church schools to be bold when leading the work for the beginning of the new academic year. Rev. Dr. Tevita Havea made the statement this morning as teachers from the FWC gathered for the first prayer service for the year.
Rev. Dr. Tevita Havea highlighted on one of the themes of the church for the year – “teacher’s actions should be a light to the students and that light should continue to shine within the students.”
Rev. Dr Havea encouraged teachers and staff to never give up on their roles and responsibilities to the students as God is and should be their ultimate source of strength.
More than 500 teachers and staff are currently working at the Free Wesleyan Church schools.
During the program Rev. Dr Tevita Koloa’ia Havea presented special awards to four teachers that have retired from teaching last year.
There are currently 8 institutions operate under the church in Tonga.
More than 6thousand students enrolled in the FWC schools last year.
