People on the island fully support the government’s road maintenance project.
‘Iloa says, the PM responded they will address the issues raised but no time frame was specified as the PM and his team will be discussed the issue once they arrive back in Tongatapu.
On Saturday morning, the island with more than 600 population gathered at the airport to welcome the Prime Minister and his delegation with a family prayer, then followed with the traditional presentation – ha’unga.
The Prime Minister and his delegation visited the areas affected by TC Tino last month, and Feinga says the island recorded a minimal damage on the agricultural sector.
The Government had donated basic food supplies such as flour to the island and is yet to be distributed by the Government representative to the locals.
