Tourism presented gifts to the cruise ship Albatross

The Ministry of Tourism this morning presented gifts to captain and crew of the Albatross cruise ship who rescued the lives of Tongan fishermen stranded at sea in 2017.
The Deputy CEO of the Destination Development Division from the Ministry of Tourism – Anthony Cocker says the gifts presented is the government’s appreciation to the captain and crew of the ship after they rescued six Tongan fishermen stranded for three days at sea on their fishing boat the “Losemani Fo’ou’ in 2017.
As part of the program, staff also conducted traditional dances as entertainments.
The Albatross arrived with its 476 passengers altogether, along with 325 crew.
The ship departed Tonga this afternoon for New Zealand.
