Road Maintenance the main issue at Tongatapu 3 meeting with PM

Road maintenance was the main issue raised from Tt3 yesterday during the meeting with Prime Minister.
Betty Blake of Fasi Moe Afi requested the government to address the issue immediately as their roads are easily inundated from cyclones and natural disasters which hinders transportation on the road.
TTP3 constituents also requested for water filtration system as this is one of the daily needs of families.
The Chief Secretary and Secretary to Cabinet – Edgar Cocker responded they will address the issue.
Rhema Misa from People living with disability Association requested government increase the government’s budget for people living with disabilities – while also requesting a special lane for those living with disabilities especially for those on wheelchairs.
Again, Chief Secretary and Secretary to Cabinet – Edgar Cocker responded they will address the issue.
Mele Muli of Fasi Moe Afi and Veisinia Latu of Pahu Ngele’ia requested for street lights – for those consuming alcohol at night time.
The Finance Minister – Hon. Tevita Lavemaau says, they are working on installing street lights throughout Tonga that were already ordered from overseas countries.
There are 8 villages in the Tongatapu constituency 3.
More than 100 people attended yesterday’s meeting with the Prime Minister.
