Japan fund 3 new projects through GGP initiative

3 new projects will be upgraded in Tonga by the government of Japan funded through their Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects widely known as GGP.
The projects include the upgrading of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) facility for Queen Salote College which is worth USD $81,500.
GGP will also fund the project for upgrading Nukunuku’s water supply system which is worth USD $90,121 and another is the project for upgrading of Malau’s community hall in ‘Eua. This project is worth USD $89,139.
Meanwhile, the Principal of Queen Salote College – ‘Asinate Samate says, they are delighted with the assistance as it will help develop the vocational and technical skills of their students.
Also attending the program were representatives from Nukunuku and ‘Eua and many invited guests.
