Ohai Incorporated President calls for more climate action

With the Tongan spirit of pride, we can better address the issue of climate change – this was the message from the president of the NGO OHAI Incorporated that is focused on climate related issues and solutions.
In an interview with Radio & Television Tonga News, Uili Lousi – Ohai Incorporated President, said climate action is important for the nation to ensure the safety and security of the country in the face of climate change.
He emphasized also the importance of the youth stepping up in this area.
Lousi is an international climate activist who has worked closely with other climate activists abroad but he is looking at strengthening local projects as well.
He also warned of the dangers of littering as it is damaging for the environment and for the animals saying this was an issue that he witnesses himself in Tonga but urged the public to do better when it comes to taking care of the environment.
The Ohai Incorporated president has participated in many climate-related programs, including the UN’s climate conference – Conference of the Parties, and is collaborating with partners abroad including a recent project with British Actor and television presenter Martin Clunes filming a series here in the kingdom, and several programs organised for the near future.
