Former Prime Minister found guilty on three charges

The jury has found former Prime Minister Lord Tu’ivakano guilty on three charges which includes making a false statement for the purpose of obtaining a passport, perjury and possession of more than 200 unlicensed ammunitions.
He will also be sentenced on a fourth count of possession of an arm without a license which Lord Tu’ivakano pleaded guilty to last week.
The sentencing is most likely to be held on the 24th of next month.
Meanwhile, the counsel for the accused has confirmed with Radio Tonga this morning that they will appeal.
