Majority of the people that are still under the 14 days self-isolation are well as majority will complete their self-isolation period this week.
Director of Health Dr Siale ‘Akauola says 113 arrivals were ordered by health officials few weeks ago, to self-quarantine as they were in countries with active cases of COVID-19.
The latest figures show, 89 people are still under quarantine and only two are at the Taliai camp as the other two have completed their quarantine period and they are now allowed to be with their families.
However, health officials are concerned with about five passengers who were meant to be under home quarantine but they didn’t follow the orders given.
No recent suspected cases have been reported to date, since the result of the 7th and 8th suspected cases returned negative last week.
Dr. ‘Ana ‘Akauola says during a press conference, once the results are negative the patients are then allowed to leave the hospital as they were just suffering from a minor flu.
She adds, all the eight suspected cases are also recovering well.
Tonga is currently on its lockdown period; Health officials are reminding the public to follow the healthy tips especially practicing hygienic lifestyle.
