Kolofo’ou’s first resource center was opened on Saturday aims at empowering students in the pursuit of their education. At the same program, the Kolofo’ou community patrol was also launched. The resource center was funded from Tongatapu constituency 2 ‘s parliamentary fund.

The Chairman of the Kolofo’ou organizing committee – Dr. ‘Uhilamoelangi Fasi says this resource center was established to assist students of Kolofo’ou with their studies, especially those who are struggling to find resources for their projects and assignments.

Dr. Fasi says the issue of students struggling to complete their assignments on time due to a lack of proper resources was something they had noticed over a number of years now and this was the best option to address the issue.

The resource center would also provide photocopying and printing services at a much lower price for the students which would also help relieve a financial burden on students’ families.

Dr. Fasi says this center would be extremely beneficial for the senior high school students in Forms 5 – 7 who are sitting the national exams.

The center is not limited to youth and students of Kolofo’ou but is also available for any in need of the center’s resources and services.
