55-year-old man charged for negligence driving causing death

Police have arrested a 55-year-old man of Hala’ovave for negligence driving causing death following the latest road fatality at the Hihifo Road.

Acting Deputy Police Commissioner Tevita Vailea says he was released from the hospital on Friday after sustaining major injuries from the accident.

He’s currently under police custody to appear at the Magistrate court.

The road fatality at the hihifo road last Tuesday night claimed the life of a 66-year-old man of Kanokupolu ‘Aisea Kaifaa.

Police continues investigation.
