Fire gutted a house in Ngele’ia

The Fire and Emergency Services reminds the public the importance of working together especially when a fire incident occurs.

Deputy Fire Commissioner – Sinamoni Kauvaka says, they received a call at around 1PM yesterday and when they reached the area, it was already too late to save any property however, fortunately there were no casualties, as no one was inside the house during the incident.

The house was a two-storey house with the damage worth more than $200,000 pa’anga.

Kauvaka urged the public to be more cautious when using electric devices and other materials that may cause a similar incident.

The Fire and Emergency Service are still investigating the cause of the fire.

This is the 44th housefire recorded for this year.
