36 students graduated from OTA Center

The graduation ceremony for 36 students of the ‘Ofa, Tui moe ‘Amanaki Center was conducted this morning.
Speaking during the program the guest of honor, Katokakala Latavao urge the students and the staff on the importance for them to be strong in order to win.
She says she understands there are many obstacles faced, but it is vital for them to remember what they are there for, and to do what needs to be done in order to win whatever comes their way.
Meanwhile the program coordinator of the school, Tiulipe Peleketi says, the school started with 35 students, and throughout the academic year, one passed away, one student move with its family overseas and 3 new students came in.
She also called on related stakeholders to work together to push for a successful future for the students.
Tevita Tilini a student of OTA on behalf of the student thank the staff, parents and those that attended the program for supporting them throughout the academic year of 2016.
There are 4 classes in the school and 4 teachers.
During the program, various entertainment were performed by the students, which includes showcasing their costumes from different countries and others.
Program then continued to the students dramatizing the story of the nativity.
Include in this morning’s program were various Christmas Carols from the students led by two ex-students of the school – ‘Ana Hafoka and Hopoi Vou.
Attending this morning’s program was the Secretary General of the Tonga Red Cross Society – Sione Taumoefolau, staff, parents and representatives from related stakeholders.
