FWC Haveluloto presented Xmas gifts to persons with special needs

No one is to be left behind during the season of Christmas and presentation of gifts.
Reverend Tevita Latailakepa of the Free Wesleyan Church of Tonga in Haveluloto told Radio & Television Tonga News during their special program yesterday.
This was to distribute Christmas gifts and goodies to persons with special needs from the Alonga Center in Pea and patients of Vaiola Hospital’s psychiatric Ward.
Rev. Latailakepa said Christmas is presentation of gifts to loved ones but this year they chose to present their gifts to those with special needs.
This is in order for them to experience the spirit of Christmas and feel they are loved by others.
They are continuing their presentation of gifts today to patients at Vaiola.
However, yesterday’s program started with the welcoming remark by Piki pea Vela.
The program was honored with the presence of Honorable Lavinia Veiongo Aleamotu’a.
Several performances was conducted by the youth of the church.
Persons with special needs from Alonga were also given opportunities to perform and dance to the music.
Similar opportunities were also given to those from Vaiola Hospital’s Psychiatric Ward.
The first gift was presented to Tevita Manuopangai ‘Ahome’e – from the Psychiatric ward, before presenting the rest of the gifts to others.
The Bags of goodies were prepared by the Women of the Church.
The food was prepared by the youth with hope that everyone can enjoy the spirit of Christmas.
