Head Boy of St.Peter Chanel College died over the weekend

Head Boy of St. Peter Chanel of Vava’u, Kelekolio Fahiua died on Saturday morning though the cause of death is yet to be confirmed.
Dr. John Lee Taione, Medical Superintendent of Prince Ngu Hospital said they are currently working on trying to identify the cause of death. They will also send x-rays to Tongatapu to help with the identification.
Dr. Taione said this is due to no sign of internal injuries from the deceased’s body.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson from the School said it is alleged a young man from Vava’u punched the deceased and he fell on the sidewalk at Fatafehi Road on Saturday morning.
The accused, 28, rushed the deceased to the hospital and he was announced dead hours later.
It is alleged that other children were teasing the accused prompting him to punch the deceased.
The accused had been charged with manslaughter and is still in police custody.
Fahiua died on Saturday morning after joining the students and ex-students of St. Peter Chanel in celebrating the Golden Jubilee of the school last week.
The burial and farewell ceremony of Fahiua is expected to be held this week and it will be hosted by the school.
